Data collected through the enquiry form

When the “Request information” form is filled in, we collect name, email address and, if provided, company, phone, role, country and the details of the project or product of interest. This data is used to reply to the request and, should the person wish, for any resulting business relationship. Requests are kept in a restricted archive on the site's server, accessible only to the Data Controller. The data is used for newsletters or commercial communications only if the person has ticked the separate, optional box on the form; this consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to probar@probaritalia.com. It is not passed on to third parties beyond the technical providers that make the site work, such as the hosting service.

Visit statistics

The site records, anonymously, some information about how it is used: the page visited, device and browser type, screen resolution, browser language, time zone, visit duration, and the country or Italian region the visit came from. This information is never linked to the name or email address of the visitor, and is not collected through cookies: the site does not set any profiling, statistical or advertising cookie. To determine the country or region, the visitor's IP address is queried once, at the moment of the visit, against an external geolocation service — the address itself is never recorded or stored.

Legal basis

Processing of the data collected through the form is based on taking steps requested by the data subject prior to entering into a contract, i.e. replying to their request; sending communications about products and events is based on the data subject's optional consent. Processing of the anonymous visit statistics is based on the Data Controller's legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site.

Data retention

Data collected through the form is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards for the period required by law. The already anonymous visit statistics are kept for internal statistical purposes.

Your rights

At any time you may ask the Data Controller for access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and may object to its processing, by writing to probar@probaritalia.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
